About the Event
e are living through an incredible and tumultuous historical moment. It's vital for us to continue to come together, pray, keep our eyes on Jesus and understand what it means to follow him now. He calls us to be justice seekers and peace makers. "He has committed to us the message of reconciliation" (2 Cor 5:19).
I recently read that while most millennial christians feel comfortable in their capacity to share their faith, many feel that doing so – particularly to a person of a different religion – is wrong. There are pretty good reasons for this, actually. But maybe we need to reexamine what this *really* means. How can we be faithful to the mission of Jesus while simultaneously renouncing colonialism? This is what we'll explore on Thursday, June 18th at 7pm.
This is a great moment of change in our world. The danger, though, is believing that God wants to change "them" (whoever they are), and miss the ways in which God is wanting to change us!
As usual, we'll receive the Eucharist at the end of the service.
